Info for Artists

Want to Perform at Camp Trans?

If you are interested in performing at Camp Trans 2011, contact us at [email protected]

Artists who play MWMF:

  1. Support Camp Trans with a monetary donation. We have lots of expenses, including food, water, sound equipment, and structures. Please consider donating 10-20% of your proceeds from playing at MWMF. We can include your name in our list of supporters on our website and printed materials.
  2. Speak out from the stage at MWMF. Let your audience know that you support the inclusion of trans women in women-only space. Encourage festival attendees to visit Camp Trans.
  3. Speak out at your other performances and distribute information about Camp Trans. Let people know how great the Michigan Women’s Music Festival already is and how much better it will be once it welcomes trans women.
  4. Visit Camp Trans and visibly show your support for the trans women and allies who are working so hard to change the policy.

We know that many artists cannot or choose not to play at the Michigan Women’s Music festival while trans women are not welcome. We encourage supportive bands to perform at CT. We will showcase your talent and let everyone know about your support on our website and in printed publicity. Contact us at [email protected]

Artists who play Anywhere:

  1. Speak out at your performances and distribute information about Camp Trans. Let your audience know why you support welcoming trans women into the Michigan Women’s Music Festival and women only space everywhere.
  2. Make your next show a Camp Trans fundraiser. We can probably connect you with a local organizer to help out. We’ll also publicize your show on our website and mailing lists.
