Lina Corvus, Culture Coordinator

Draw a square and in the center of that square put a dot. This simple diagram would be incredibly useful in describing Lina Corvus, were she a metaphor for the founding of the United States of America. It is perhaps for the best that she is not such a metaphor, and is instead a 23 year old girl who's had a relatively interesting life journey to this point. Highlights include her degree in Gender & Women's Studies, her involvement with CT, and passing associations with several New England organizations of note. She is, fundamentally, a collector of interesting people, and as such she is doing what she can to ensure that Camp Trans remains fully stocked with them. You can email Lina at lina.corvus[at]gmail[dot]com.

Bryce, Logistics

Bryce is currently a Program Assistant for a non-profit Mental Health agency. He was born and raised in Minneapolis, MN and still lives and loves it there!! Bryce is person who loves all people and is really excited for this upcoming year of queers in the woods!!! (how much better can it get?!?!?!) This is the fourth year he has been involved with CT and his second year as the Logistics Cordinator. As logistics coordinator, Bryce does all the prep work to make sure we have things like port-o-potties, clean drinking water, structures, a permit for the space and all the other logistical things that go into making CT happen. If you want to help out or make any donations to CT you can email Bryce at ct.logistics[at]yahoo[dot]com.

bisexuals. He has presented at numerous conferences including the Sweaty Southern Radical Queer & Trans Convergence, Forge Forward and the Trans-Health Conference. As workshop chair for Camp Trans ’07, Al is busy obsessively creating a master schedule grid chock full of exciting workshops, caucuses and activities. Sean, Hospitality

Hi, My name is Sean the Bug, and I’m the head of Welcome Wagon 07! I have been an active camper since 05 and my favorite part about camp (besides all the cool bugs) is meeting new people! I and the other uber hotties of the CT welcome wagon are in charge of helping new folks feel at home and welcome at camp, whether they come the first day, mid-week, or just for the weekend. We will be working with the folks in charge of CT Culture to make fun games and activities for community building, ice breaking, friendship making, and after dinner fun! Being part of Welcome Wagon 07 does not mean sitting at the sweltering Welcome Tent all day, it means organizing fun things both in front of and behind the tree line, helping acclimate folks who have never been to camp before, welcoming youth, and welcoming folks from Fest who want to come talk, debate, or just chill with all us funk folks at CT. Anyone can be part of Welcome Wagon 07. Feel free to email me any time! tinredboi[at]yahoo[dot]com

Ali Blue, Lead Advocate

I’m a (queer, white, punk) girl from Long Island, NY and Northampton, MA. 2007 will be my 3rd year attending Camp Trans. As the lead advocate, I’ll be creating the advocate program. Advocates will serve as non-professional, volunteer mediators at Camp Trans. Our primary goal will be to help make Camp the amazing, positive, healing and safer space it has the potential to be. If you are interested in volunteering, please shoot me an email at alij.burt[at]gmail[dot]com and I’ll send you more information about what the advocate position will entail. If you don’t have regular access to the internet, let’s try to exchange phone numbers. Advocate trainings will be held on both Sunday and Thursday.

On a more personal note, I like dance parties, unicorns, intersectional anti-oppression analyses, and not finishing knitting projects for two years. I dislike wet socks, apathy and the patriarchy. If you can make it to Camp this year, please say hi! And let’s all work together to make Camp Trans as awesome as it can and should be… Go team!
