In addition to this amazing line-up of writers, there will be drag performances and a plethora of wonderful prizes to be raffled away – it will be an amazing night of words, fun and fundraising that you won’t want to miss!

All proceeds from the benefit will go directly to Camp Trans, the annual gathering of transgender people and their allies in Michigan with the intent of: 1) Protesting the exclusion of trans women from women-only spaces, most notably the Michigan Womyn’s Music Festival; 2) Building a trans-inclusive community that is welcoming and safe for all; 3) Empowering the next generation of activists to fight for trans issues locally through organizer trainings, workshops, and leadership development; and 4) Advocating for the inclusion of trans issues in progressive, queer, and feminist movements by building coalitions with supportive organizations and bringing attention to local campaigns.  This year’s Camp Trans takes place from August 8th-14th – for more info, check out: http://camp-trans.org/
